About Us
Janicki Buttercups is located on a small farm in Mount Vernon, Washington. Mount Vernon is located in rural North-West Washington State, about an hour North of Seattle, and is famous for it's yearly Tulip Festival and the beautiful North Cascades.
We breed show quality bantam Sicilian Buttercup chickens. Buttercups are classified as a rare "Heritage" breed, and we are dedicated to improving breed genetics and increasing the breeding population by helping new breeders get started. We breed our birds to the guidelines set forth in the American Standard of Perfection, published by the American Poultry Association.
We specialize in bantam size Buttercups, but can direct interested parties to other breeders who raise large fowl.
